For bored guitarists:
e--3--5-6--8---6-5-3---3-5-1--1-3-0--
e--3--5-6--8---6-5-3---3-5-1--1-3s8--
So easy, you don't even need to know how to play a guitar. That's the opening riff you hear every time you go to the login screen. I'd attempt to do more of it, but unfortunately there are no symbols in tabulature to properly express 'several minutes of wind noises, campfire, and drums.'

Thanks for that. I don't play guitar, but I used it to figure it out on my violin. (I was trying to do it by ear earlier, but to no prevail)
edit- I'd love to get the sheet music somewhere for my school orchestra.

I may have to try that out on my guitar sometime.
Whosa, the e string is both the thckest (lowest pitch) and the thinnest (highest pitch). This riff would be played on the highest string.

Right, wherein 0 is the equivalent of playing an open string. There isn't much to reading tabs aside from familiarity with how certain actions are expressed, ie a 3s8 or a 3/8 could both be used to express a slide, whereas something like 3^ would be used to express a pitch bend.

lol... awesome. this'll sound funny with my effects pedal on tremolo with church-like reverb. *turns 5 knobs and pushes the pedal up a bit* wee...
I've got only 2 guitars... And my brother has 3 (but my electric is awesome). I've got a Fender: Fat Strat (with sunburst finish), a Hohnor Acoustic-Electric I got from a pawn shop, and my brother has a crappy Squire, a really nice acoustic-electric (also from a pawn shop), and an insanely awesome acoustic (really nice wood, it's loud as hell and it's got a good sound). Oh and my preamp is a Digitect rp300a.

I have an Epiphone G400 (the Goth one), a Hohner acoustic, and an Ibanez Acoustic Electric.
Next on the list are a Schecter S (either the elite or the blackjack) and a Dean 12 string electric.
EDIT: I think you are one fret flat than it's supposed to be...

I have a Simon & Patrick accoustic electric (awesome sound for a good price, Canadian made), and an el Degas Bass guitar (only ever seen one other guitar by el Degas. I think it sounds and works great for a no name brand guitar).
I want to get a red Gibson Les Paul, but I may settle for the Epiphone version.

sorry to be a pain, but its in G#/Ab minor, not G minor, so it should all be played up one fret
